I'm Harleen, a portrait and brand photographer based in San Jose, CA. A storyteller at heart, with a mind always in motion, turning creative ideas and moments into art.
To me, everything is a picture waiting to be felt: the way sunlight spills through a window, the colors that blur together as you drive down the coast, the quiet in-between moments that say more than words ever could. My artistic and creative eye is always tuned into the world around me, chasing the truth inside every story. I live for those moments of alignment, when you hit the shutter at just the right second and that image forever carries something real.
Whether I’m photographing a brand or a portrait, my goal is the same: to create images that move you — that hit you straight in the heart because the emotion is honest and alive.

I remember the exact moment. I was in New York in October of 2018, in my hotel room bathroom, dreaming about this photography business I one day wanted to have. It's one of those instances when the seed of inspiration hit my mind and clicked right into place: Amavi.
That sentiment of “I loved” encapsulates exactly how I want these photographs feel. I want them to be a lasting imprint of love, something to be revisited, a landmark in your life journey that you can come back to to invokes the exact feelings of that moment in time. So that one day when you look back, you can feel content knowing you’ve loved.
That was the vision (the Amavi Vision) and the name has stood the test of time.
